Are you a carer and want to know How to claim Carers Allowance?

What is Carer’s allowance?

This is money given to people who look after someone with substantial caring needs. It’s not means-tested, so it doesn’t matter how much you earn or own.  Furthermore, if you spend 35 hours or more each week looking after someone, then you could be eligible for this benefit.

In the UK there are around 6 million carers and over 1 million of those are under 16 years old. That’s why I’m here to help!

Carer’s allowance can give your life back on track by giving you financial support and helping ease some of the pressure that comes with caring responsibilities.

I want to make sure that everyone gets what they deserve from their hard work as a carer – which is why I’ve recorded this podcast just for YOU!

Claiming Carer’s Allowance

This is straightforward and you could get £67.60 a week if you care for someone at least 35 hours a week and they get certain benefits.

Moreover, you do not have to be related to or live with, the person you care for.

You do not get paid extra if you care for more than one person.

If someone else also cares for the same person as you, only one of you can claim Carer’s Allowance.

Conclusion

How to claim Carers Allowance is a need to know if you are one of the many millions with caring responsibilities.  Moreover, How to claim Carers Allowance, is there to help provide financial support for the many millions of carers.
